Maryhill Fall Park Clean Up

All Community Residents, we need your help!

Please join the Maryhill Recreation Association this Saturday, November 2nd for their annual Fall Park Clean Up at the Maryhill Heritage Park.

Park clean up starts at 9am – until finished.  Any support is greatly appreciated, even if you can only come out for an hour or two.  Lunch, water, coffee, and cookies are provided.  Clean up consists of mostly leaves so please bring a rake and gloves.

For more information, or questions, please call 519-648-2939.

Halloween Spook-tacular

Halloween is almost here and St. Boniface has Spook-tacular plans in place for our Panthers!

First off, Halloween FUN PACKS are available for $10 per student on School Cash Online.  All proceeds will come directly back to our school to help towards covering excursion transportation costs for each class.

Each FUN PACK will include:

  • Glow stick
  • Baby pumpkin craft (run by our Catholic School Advisory Council)
  • Treats
  • Washable tattoo or sticker
  • One raffle ticket for a carved pumpkin
  • Popcorn and juice, which will be served during our festivities in the gym.  Thank you to McDonalds (Woodlawn, Guelph) for generously donating juice!

Also, please remember to wear costumes to participate in our Spook-tacular Dance and Fashion Show. We encourage parents to come and enjoy the show that begins at 1pm!

In addition, each class will participate in a home room pumpkin carving, and the pumpkins will be raffled off with all proceeds going to St Boniface Catholic School.  A special THANK YOU to the Harris Family (Maria & Marcus’s Grandparents) for donating a pumpkin to each classroom for this event! Raffle tickets for the carved pumpkins can be purchased for $0.50 each or 3 for $1.

If you have any questions, please contact the school office.

Thank you,

Catholic School Advisory Council

We Scare Hunger

The We Team is collecting non-perishable food items and money to support local food banks starting tomorrow until November 1st. Items that are needed the most are: peanut butter, canned fruit, rice, canned meat & fish, pasta sauce, dry beans, hot & cold cereal, stew, chili & soup, beans in sauce, and canned vegetables. Our goal is 500 items.

Thank you for your support and helping us make positive change in the community!

Reminder to all families that tomorrow is Walk To School Day!  Please head over to School Cash Online TODAY, if you haven’t already, to provide permission for your child to participate.  If permission is not received, your child will have to be dropped off at the school instead of the community centre with their peers.

WALK TO SCHOOL DAY – October 16th, 2019

Hello Panther Families!

St. Boniface is proud to participate in WALK TO SCHOOL day as part of our Healthy Schools initiatives and in partnership with Ontario Active School Travel.

On October 16th, we are asking that all students meet at the community centre in Maryhill by 9:00am and walk to school from there. Bussed students will be dropped off there instead of the school. The students will be met by staff and parent volunteers where we will then proceed, as a group, to walk to school.

Thank you!
