Thank you and Changes for the 2019/2020 School Year

Dear St Boniface family!

Another year draws to a close and I can hardly believe that time has passed. I am so very thankful for the time we have spent together; learning and growing, celebrating and reflecting, laughing and sharing! I am honoured to be a part of such an outstanding school community!!! I truly believe that the parish, school and family triad we have here, at St Boniface, is an unique blessing that our children enjoy. Some of my most cherished memories this year are:

  • The Pasta Dinner fundraiser (HUGE thank you Julie Kobe and our CSAC)
  • Our Christmas and Spring Concerts
  • Halloween Costume Parade, Christmas Stockings and Balloon Badminton with our friends at Twin Oaks Retirement Residence
  • Terry Fox, Jump Rope and Mission Day, where we share our gifts with others
  • School Picnic with our Grade 1 Friends from St Aloysius school
  • Holy Communion, Confirmation and Graduation, where we celebrate with pride, the accomplishments of our students
  • Family BBQ with the Knights of Columbus (tentatively booked for September 12, 2019 so PLEASE join us then!)

I would like to send my deepest thanks to the following staff, who are moving on from St Boniface. They have all done amazing things to support our school community and will be dearly missed!:

Henry Bink: celebrating the gift of retirement!

Leisha Huber: moving to St. Agnes School

Tiffany Roth: moving to Holy Family School

Joanna Mazza: moving to John Sweeney School

Corinne Kennedy: moving to a Planning Time position

Lauren Huston: good luck wherever you land next year – you will be AMAZING

While we are sad to lose such wonderful teachers, we are pleased to announce the following new members of our Panther Family:

Denise Hayward: coming from St Bernadette and teaching Grade 7/8

Jacqui Ward: coming from St John and teaching Grade 5/6

Julie Johnston: coming from St Daniel and teaching Grade 2/3

Megan Lam: coming from an Itinerant role and teaching Grade 1

Nicci Squib: coming from St Paul and teaching K (returning in January following her maternity leave)

Amanda Beatty: coming from Our Lady of Fatima and teaching K

Have a wonderful summer with those you love. See you back here on September 3rd at 9:10am.

With love and gratitude

Ms. Marylin Dawson
