Don’t Trash Tech School Challenge

Do you have old cell phones, laptops or ipods lying around collecting dust? It is important to dispose of technology appropriately to protect our precious Earth and prevent these items from ending up in landfills. The St. Boniface EcoTeam is working with Ontario EcoSchools, eCycle Solutions and Best Buy to help recycle electronics in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

From May 24 – June 2 simply bring your old technology to Best Buy in order to receive a ballot that gets entered into a draw for a $500 gift card for our school!! The more our St. Boniface community recycles the better our chances of winning!

Clean up your junk drawers and take care of God’s creation at the same time! !

Spring Clean Up / Donation

Spring Clean up/Donation

Hello Panther Families!

With Spring weather around the corner (we hope!) we’ve started to think about what kinds of things our kids love to do outside.  We’ve polled students of every age, and they provided us with some awesome ideas of how they would like to keep busy outside this Spring.

In an effort to be good stewards not only of our finances, but also our environment, we’ve decided to ask parents to help us with this project.  We are certain many of you will be moving into Spring Clean-Up mode soon.  While you’re cleaning house, if you come across any of these items, please send them our way!

  • Portable basketball net
  • Tonka Trucks (large ones for pushing, digging, dumping)
  • sand toys (sturdy shovels)
  • football
  • basketballs
  • soccer balls (size 5 and above)
  • hammocks
  • sidewalk chalk/ paint
  • ball pumps

We ask that all items be gently used and working properly so our students can get the most enjoyment out of these things.  We hope to see our kids looking forward to recess and outdoor time more than ever!

With many thanks!
