Parents, Guardians & Students of St. Boniface School,
“Live in the Present and revere Tradition but create the Future.”
These words of Pope Francis speak to what we are about as members of our St. Boniface School community. Each day we are aware of the joys & challenges of living Gospel values, of striving to be people who put into practice the many gifts and talents we have received and to concretely live the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations.
Our Present includes a high expectation of academic excellence, no matter what our capabilities. All staff are dedicated to teaching, modelling and encouraging our students to demonstrate the importance of taking their place in society through the avenue of education – whether that be in academics, social justice initiatives, advances in technology, sports or interpersonal relationships.
We have been blessed with over 100 years of education in Maryhill. Over that time there have been numerous developments to the school building, student and staff population, teaching methods, and societal changes. What has stayed constant throughout all of these years is the Tradition of community. The relationship the school has with our St. Boniface Parish is central to the religious education that is taught daily in our classes. We are very grateful for the ongoing support we receive from the parish as well as the many organizations in the wider community and our parents.
We are a school on the move and so our Future shines brightly before us. Though a little unsure of how changes will be manifested, we forge ahead with confidence that no matter what comes our way, we will continue to work together a s a faith-filled community, eager to be life-long learners rooted in our God!
